We are happy to inform you that on 7th April, 1998 (which also coincides with the “world health day”) five batch mates revived drug bank with contribution of only Rs.250/-.our aim was to help poor and needy patients who could not afford drugs themselves. With the mercy of almighty and concerted efforts of whole college, many peoples in the university and outside the university drug bank grew bigger and bigger day by day. By April, 2001 we have collected and distributed drugs of Rs.160,000/- (one lack sixty thousand, a big leap from 250/- to Rs.160,000/-) apart from this drug bank has organized blood testing and donation camp(university canteen lawn), medical camp (in Qayamganj). Many students of J.N.M.C. have donated their blood to poor patients unknown to them.
Whatever results have come forward it is due to sincere and integrated efforts of whole college
As we know that the "Drug Society" of A.M.U. is a unique organization where all members are all equal, there is no president, secretary or any office bearer. Drug Society can expand run smoothly only if junior batches join it in large no., take the responsibilities, replacing outgoing senior members.
So we request you to join the "Drug Society" in large no. and make members in the university and outside the university.
Let us pray to almighty to guide us and give strength to work for the deprived and underprivileged.
